Aly's Charmer
Aly's Charmer has begun his training with Elizabeth. Aly's Charmer is a real charmer and loves to play with anyone who walks by his stall. He even helps out when someone is in his stall cleaning it. He will pull the wheel barrow and grab the fork. He has even been known to pull the stable help by the t-shirt and direct him to a new area of the stall to be cleaned. He is a character.
Elizabeth has Aly's Charmer learning to walk and trot over poles on the ground. He has also learned to walk out on our trails. We are bringing him along very slowly as he is a very special horse.
He has exceptional breeding. Aly's Charmer is the son of Evansville Slew by Slew City Slew who is the son of Seattle Slew.
His dam's sire, Alysheba, won $6,679,242 racing. He won the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes. He was the Champion older male 1988 and Champion 3yo colt 1987.
Alysheba's sire was Alydar. The only horse to finish second in all three Triple Crown races (1978). Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, Belmont Stakes. He was the leading Sire in North America in 1990.
Current Training
- Aly has learned how to lunge.
- Aly's Charmer is walking, trotting and cantering quietly in the arena
- He has been started over cross-rails
- Aly has been to his first dressage schooling show and behaved very well.
- He is walking over poles on the ground.
- He has been out on the trails
