Era of Chanago
Era of Chanago been one of Elizabeth's special reserve horses. These horses have received extra training and attention and therefore are priced higher than most horses on at our farm. Chanago is one of the horses that Elizabeth has fox hunted and ridden for her personal pleasure.
Era of Chanago has good breeding including: Nashua (both dam and sire), Raise a Native, My Babu, Native Dancer (both dam and sire), Nashrulla, Hyperion, Nearco, Polynesian (both dam and sire) and Petrify.
Chanago is strongly built with a big chest and barrel. He can carry a larger rider. He has a large trot and really uses his back end. He loves to jump and is brave cross-country. Chanago is well mannered in the hunt field.
Just twelve days off-the-track he was competing in the Shakerag Hounds Hunter Trials. He rode in a Trail Class where he performed beautifully. Read about it here.
Current Training
- Chanago could be your next equitation horse or eventor.
- He will take you over 3'6" jumps and you will never know you've jumped.
- Currently going quietly under saddle in the arena and on trails - walk, trot and canter.
- Chango has fox hunted second field and done a coops on the hunt territory.
- Chanago is a willing jumper and eagerly does cross-country fences.
- He has an incredible trot and would do well in dressage and combined training events.
- He crosses water without hesitation.
- He stands quietly while being shod, clipped and washed.
- He gets along with other horses in the pasture.
- Chanago loads on the trailer and rides quietly.
- He is ridden in a snaffle bit.
- Chanago welcomes you with a deep chuckle for a nicker when you enter the barn.
- He raises his leg and begs for peppermints.
- Chanago is a gentleman.
