Enough already! Spring is fighting to arrive – a few brave daffodils have blossomed only to be covered in snow. Our newest boarder, Louie the Frisian, arrived from Arizona this week and he learned about playing in the snow.

Recently off-the-track Thoroughbred, Monarch’s Reign celebrates his fourth birthday with a carrot cake. His new mom, Suellen brought carrots for the horses to share and a few of the horses even tried some cake. Sharing the good times with your horse and your friends is part of the fun of boarding at Bits & Bytes Farm. Owning a Thoroughbred is special and we use any excuse to celebrate that here at the farm. “Brutus” is safe! Sarah Regan has gottarun to Kentucky and pick up her two new horses – Mr. Brutus and Can’t Stay Gottarun. Thank you Sarah for offering a great home to two great horses.

“Brutus” must go this week. Please do not wait to call if you have been thinking about “Brutus”. His trainer needs the stall and “Brutus” will be gone. If you have not been thinking about “Brutus” – why not? He is Bargain Barn priced!!!!!!

I got this last chance call for a horse named Mike’s Kong. Can anyone help? He is in eastern Pennsylvania. We don’t usually do rescues but I hate to hear these kind of stories. He is a colt so maybe someone would want him for a breeding program. We cannot save them all but let’s try to save this one for my friends. More information . . .

UPDATE: Mike’s Kong is safe. He is going to a farm that breeds Quarter Horses. Thank you to all who offered to help this horse.
