“Star” – NEW! 16.3 hand Gray

UPDATE April 17: “Star’s” owner has decided to run him “one more time”. . . stay tuned.

“Star” is a 2006 Kentucky bred, 16.3 hand, gray gelding for sale in Florida. He is believed sound for any career. “Star” broke his maiden (won his first race) in October and he has not been strong enough to win again against the stiffer competition. Once a horse has won a race he can no longer compete in races for  horses that have not won. Well bred horses like “Star” could be sold down to lower end racing but then that would hurt the stud fees and value of the mare. Most high end breeders want slow horses to retire to a new career. “Star” is still growing and he is just about 16.3 now with two more years of growing to do. “Star” is in Florida and the tracks are shutting down and the horses are moving back to Kentucky where the competition is even stronger. We need to find a home ASAP. We have only a short time to find “Star” new career. Do not expect this horse to be on the site next week. Call ASAP if you are looking for a large gray gelding that is suitable for showing and jumping. “Star’s” sale is on hold for him to run “one more time.”
