“Taxi” has been SOLD! Congratulation to Tina Kelly of Tucson, Arizona on the purchase of Tax Hike for her daughter who is in Pony Club and competes in eventing. “Taxi” will begin her training for an eventing career when she arrives in Arizona. Thank you Barbara Batista (Little Silic) for making this match happen! ;–)
Tax Hike aka “Taxi” is a 2006, 16.2 hand, bay Thoroughbred filly. She was foaled in June so she still has a lot of growing to do.
She had only two starts and both times she came in last!! She was way at the end of the pack! Although her breeder was disappointed, he will not push her to race again and does not want to get her hurt trying. Ideally, he would like to see her go to someone who will achieve great things with her as she is very athletic, yet quiet.
Her breeder is an equine veterinarian and he bred, raised and broke her himself. She is very comfortable with a rider and she has absolutely no fear of a crop!! He desensitized her so much that it doesn’t faze her. She is a bit lazy off your leg in the ring, but once you establish with her that she has a job to do, she does it well. We are riding her everyday at the farm and she is very easy to ride and quiet.
“Taxi” is offered for sale by her breeder in NY who is an equine veterinarian. She is used to English, but she also has no issue going in a western saddle. She is sound with no soundness issues. She is sane and a very quiet ride. This filly has been started correctly and should go to a show home but will also be sought after by sport horse breeders. She is by the same stallion as Artrageous and who has turn out to be a big, quiet, sane and athletic event horse who throws beautiful babies with his quiet temperament and markings. See Artrageous’ stallion photos and fees on the Fox Haven Farm Web site.
