Souperman Himself - first ride!

Two New OTTBs at Bits & Bytes Farm

Once again, our Facebook page found the buyer of one of our Thoroughbred horses for sale before we could even get her to our Web site. This makes two grey mares who were sold within a few hours of their photos being posted on our Facebook page. Be sure to check our Facebook page (you don’t need to have a Facebook account) or subscribe to our Twitter link. We also list the horses for sale on Twitter when they go up on Facebook.

Chillean Dreams

Chilean Dreams was sold to Kimberly Keeton, DVM of Coyote Creek Equine Veterinary Services in Watkinsville, GA to be her next eventing partner and future sport horse mare. She was on our Facebook page less than 24 hours and over 9600 people saw her photo. The phones were ringing off-the-hook and Dr. Keeton was the lucky winner of this beautiful mare.

Postal Pam and Dr. Susan Llewallyn Goodman

Postal Pam went up on the Facebook page at 7:30 AM and she was sold to one of our favorite frequent buyers Susan Llewallyn Goodman, DVM of Town & Country West Veterinary Clinic in Marietta, GA within an hour. Postal Pam is her third Bits & Bytes off-the-track Thoroughbred – all of them mares. Her first two mares have been great in the fox hunt field and that is where she hopes to take Pam in another year. Postal Pam will be boarding at Bits & Bytes Farm for a few months.

Souperman Himself is now at Bits & Bytes Farm

Our second new Thoroughbred at Bits & Bytes Farm is Souperman Himself! Yes, SOUPerman. His sire is Alphabet Soup who won the Breeder’s Cup Classic in 1996. Souperman Himself’s trainer, himself, won the Breeder’s Cup Mare and Filly Sprint for the second year in a row with Groupie Doll. Both Souperman Himself and Groupie Doll are homebred horses for William “Buff” Bradley. Groupie Doll did a little better at racing than Souperman Himself ($12,210) winning almost $2.5 million dollars! Souperman Himself’s barn buddy was none other than $2 million dollar winner – Brass Hat! Cheer on Groupie Doll this weekend as she takes on the boys in the Cigar Mile Handicap at Belmont for a $1 Million dollar purse!
