Got an email yesterday from Mary in Barbados who bought Foxy Dixie. She is reported to be pregnant, fat, and happy. Was bred to a stallion on Barbados.

Bye again.

June 26, 2007 - Foxy Dixie has been SOLD!

Foxy Dixie has been suddenly in great demand as her sire Dixieland Band is now top broodmare sire internationally for winners. She has been sold to a really neat lady and her partner in Barbados where she will live the life of a queen. There is no Dixieland Band mare anywhere in the islands. Suddenly we had calls from TX, Ontario, and CA as well so it became the first person with money in the bank. She leaves tomorrow night for a month in quarantine in Ocala and will leave with 2 two year olds in training from Miami to St. Johns, Barbados together on a "pallet". I have spent literally hours on the phone with her new owner, and she will live like royalty there in a much nicer climate than ours. We are also invited to go down to see her once she is settled in.

October 17, 2005 - FOR SALE. Visit Fox Haven Farm for more details.

Hi Elizabeth,

I rode Foxy for the first time two days ago, alone on a four mile trail ride. She is so nice, quiet, interested, and with a big swinging walk for a little girl.  She could care less about being alone.  I can't wait until we can start working her.  Going to start trot work in short spurts next week.  She is going to be so good.

Foxy Dixie at home in Florida. October 2005

Hi Elizabeth and Barry,

Foxy is doing so well.  It took her 36 hours to decompress and relax.  She is out in our big pasture with 8 mares and has quietly assumed alpha position.  She gets fed first, and there were absolutely no issues with placing the first nose bag.  We will get on her for the first time on Sunday most likely.  She is a pocket horse; if we are out in the pasture for anything, she is there and begging for attention. Can't wait to get on Foxy; she is such a beautiful mover.

Bye for now,

Foxy Dixie and her new moms.

Hi Elizabeth and Barry,

Just a note to say we got home by 7:30 and got everyone fed just before dark.  Foxy had her ears working all the way home and was so glad to leave the trailer – quietly but expeditiously.  She is going to be so interesting.

Thank you both so much for your help and support.  We both wish we were closer so we could do more together.

Looking forward to our next encounter.  Thank you again for your assistance and friendship.  I value both so much – can’t begin to tell you how much.  Hope you get to see our place sometime.  Warm fuzzies.
