Hey Elizabeth,

Thank you so much for the fabulous photos of me and Julian (Pearl D`Azur). I was out of town for a week and came back to that. They are just priceless and some of my expressions and his for that matter had me laughing very hard!! He is doing very well and he is coming home to my barn in two weeks.

Although I go and see him, I don't think he knows I am MOM! But as soon as I am the hand that feeds him he'll catch right on, I will send photos of us "working" together now that I am done with my FL travels.

Talk to you soon!

Hi Elizabeth,

Thank you again for such a wonderful horse, he went out with the "herd" today and did wonderful.. He galloped to the top of the hill and surveyed everything then took off, I must say WOW what a mover, his lightness and suspension is just unbelievable I can't wait to start our dressage training! He will definitely be a show stopper. His new barn name is "Julian" it is very elegant just like him. I will send photos soon

Thanks again,
Nicole Tatusko

Hey Elizabeth,

I just wanted to let you know that "Julian" aka Pearl is tucked in eating his hay and just enjoying life..  I think that he will be just fabulous once he is settled in and we get to know each other. Please forward me some of the great photos that you took of us and of course his coggins!

Thanks so much and I will be in touch,
Nicole Tatusko

February 19, 2006 - SOLD! This was the information on his Prospect Horse for Sale page.

Pearl D'Azur was a little older than our normal prospects. He had been retired from racing since December 2003. He retired sound and is still sound for a new career as a sport horse. He is such a class act, we just had to offer him for sale. He was too pretty and sound to be retired on a farm.

Congratulations Nicole Tatusko of Calhoun, GA !

He is incredibly well bred having Danzig as his grandsire on the top line and Alydar on the bottom. Click here to see his pedigree. He was foaled in Kentucky at Darley Stud. He was sent to Ireland as a yearling and did not start his race career in England until he was three. At four he moved to Dubai. He was owned by a sheik and raced in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates at five and six. Pearl returned to the United States at seven and continued his racing career until he was ten. I like horses that are still racing later in life and have remained sound.

Dead gorgeous does not begin to tell you how pretty this horse is. He is 16.2 and solidly built. He is a lot of horse and he has a great personality. He would be for a serious rider who wants to win.
