Heather's Best
Heather's Best is by Buckley Boy who is the son of Alydar. Buckley Boy has same sire as Our Boy Darcy. Other famous horses in his pedigree include: Swaps, Raise a Native, Native Dancer, Nashrulla, Princequillo, TV Lark, Mamoud, Polynesian, Bull Lea, Hyperion and Nearco.
"Best" is a former steeplechaser so he knows how to run and jump for eventing or fox hunting. He has great ground manners and is easy to handle. You can lie down with him in the stall! He loaded and unloaded into our trailer without hesitation. This is a classey grandson of Alydar. He will make an excellent and bold eventor.
Current Training
- Heather's Best has proven himself to be a very good cross-country event prospect.
- He has been on several cross-country schooling trips and he never refuses a fence. He is schooling Beginner Novice to Novice level fences and ditches.
- Heather's Best had been trail ridden and walked across streams with his former owner while in race training.
- Heather is wonderfully balanced and easy to ride.
- He is walking, trotting and cantering quietly in the arena.
- Heather's Best is trotting ground rails and cross rails and jumping grids.
- He is now jumping 3' fences in the arena and jumping all our cross country fences.
- He is a very bold jumper - but then he used to do steeplechase.
- He will make a very good eventing prospect or fox hutner.
