Joe Bear has arrived at Bits & Bytes Farm!

Bits & Bytes Farm news

UPDATE 5-9-03
NEW HORSES!!
The new horse we brought in last week one is sold! Maximum Conclusion never even made the Web site! He was under contract within an hour of arriving at the farm! Photos on Monday when he returns from his weekend of trail riding.

Sometimes horses never make it to the Web site. We always have horses not on the site that are at the farm. If you call, we can tell you if we have a horse that might be just the right match for you.

Check out the newz page to find out what's been happening at Bits & Bytes Farm. The new layout makes it easier to look up past stories.

Bits & Bytes Farm is located just 45 minutes North of downtown Atlanta in the heart of Georgia's horse county in Cherokee County.

Welcome to Bits & Bytes Farm on the Web. Take a virtual tour of the farm and see the beautiful thoroughbreds we have for sale. Follow their training and learn how we bring them from racetrack to a new career in the show ring, fox hunting or eventing.

If you already have a horse and are looking for a place to board, visit our Boarding Page and our Amenities Page for photos and more information. See also photos of the farm and our horses for sale.

Joe Bear is here!
There is a new "Irish twin" in our barn. He is a 17 hand, 5 year old gelding that has been lightly raced. He is a grandson of Alydar, just like Fame. His family tree includes: Roberto, Hail to Reason, Nashua, Tom Fool, Native Dancer, Raise a Native, Nashrullah, Ribot, Nearco, Polynesiaion, Grey Sovereign and Turn-to. All these horses are in the 100 most influential sires of thoroughbred breeding. He needs weight but is friendly and well behaved. We have three pages of photos.

Twins
Irish on the left (when he was three at the track) and our newest bay - Joe Bear on the right.

We also have two other horses that have not yet made the Web site. One is a horse we brought back from the track two years ago.He has been with a friend to rest and relax and do trail riding. Back in the Future is being readied for sale. We think he will make an excellent dressage horse. He is an eight year old, 16.2 hand dark bay gelding. Photos soon.

Max is an off-the-track appaloosa (photos soon). Yes, he is off-the-track. As a pony horse, Max spent his mornings galloping the thoroughbreds and his afternoons leading the horses to the post. He is extremely well trained. He knows his leads, rides English and Western and has extensively trail ridden. He will ground tie in the middle of the busy track if his rider asks him to. He is the perfect pleasure horse. Max loads, ties and clips. He was sent to us by his trainer (of Lord Sexton) because he does not like the jockey's kicking him in the flanks on their way to the races. He is a big love demanding attention all the time. MAXIMUM CONCLUSION has been SOLD!

Please call us to discuss which horse might be the best match for you based on riding skill, experience and equine personality. We do not send out videos because it is important to match the personality of the horse with the personality of the rider. We are matchmakers, not horse brokers. We have horses in a wide price range. Call us to discuss prices. We'd love to have you come meet all of our horses--we know that it will be worth your time. Just bring peppermints!
