We're back with more new horses!

Thoroughbreds are like potato chips - it's hard to just have one! Elizabeth was getting withdrawl seeing all those empty stalls so we did ANOTHER trip to St. Louis to find some more.

Delivering Roary to St. Louis gave us a chance to shop at the nearby farms and racetrack - not that we really need an excuse to go thoroughbred shopping!

Who did we find?

We have done two trips to St. Louis in two weeks and brought back five horses! Here are the horses from the second trip.

Got Um Smoke Um (Smokey)

No. This is not Paradoyxx. This is Smokey and he IS a thoroughbred!

Smokey is a five-year-old grey 15.3 hand thoroughbred. ("I can't believe he's not a bay" - Elizabeth) He is sweet and kind and will not be here long if we can tell by everyone's reactions. He is looking for someone special to love him and bring him along slowly.

RU Ready to Rumble (Rumble Stubbs)

Rumble is a five-year-old dark bay 16+ hand thoroughbred. ("See, another bay" - Elizabeth) He is very elegant and we were lucky enough to get him from his breeder who loves him very much and hopes to keep in touch with whoever is Rumble's new owner. Is that you? With this horse you will be able to know his entire history, not just his pedigree and race record. Rumble is quite a character and will let you know if you miss feeding him.

Ikon

Ikon (that's his full name) is a classic blood bay. (Yeah! Another bay! - Elizabeth) He is our newest BAYby. Ikon is just three and about 15.3 hands and still two years to grow. Ikon is a gelding and he is very laid back and easy to work around. We attribute that to the fact that we also purchased him right from the breeder. He has raced but is just not good enough to compete next year. He has a caring breeder/trainer who wanted to see him retrained and placed in a loving home. If you have the time and patience to work with a young horse, Ikon is your horse. (Gloria - this might be another Fame . . .)

Special pricing

These new horses are being priced for sale this month with the price to include one month boarding at Bits & Bytes Farm and one month of professional training during that month. If the horse is not a match at the end of the month, we will find you another one. We want to place horses carefully and make sure it is a good match -- you want to get the best price. This is the way to achieve both our goals. We are still learning about the personalities and talents of these horses. Call for pricing and boarding/training information.

Smokey enjoys his first chance to be a horse.

Imagine taking this trailer down the street below and negotiating the corners and the cobblestones!

Barry was able to maneuver the trailer `round and `round the blocks of old St. Louis and he even found a parking spot. We actually squeezed past the horse and carriages.

That's why we call Barry our Superman.
