Gertjan and Marie were "on the wagon" instead of on horseback. They followed the hunt on the tally ho wagon and took all the the photos on this page. Thank you Marie and Gerjan for a job well done!

Shakerag Hounds Opening Meet!

It was a typical gorgeous Fall day for the 60th Opening Meet of the Shakerag Hounds. Bits & Bytes Farm horses and family members thoroughly enjoyed the day.

We have a new horse!

You may remember Swell Bell. He was a prospect horse last winter. We did not have room for him and he went back to racing this summer. The season is over and once again he became available to us and this time we grabbed him. He is one of the most quiet horses we have even taken straight from the track. He is not spooky and has already willingly walked over a plastic tarp and gone out on the trails alone. He is very athletic and has a gorgeous trot. He has an extremely kind eye and a sweet disposition. Don't wait long to see this boy. He wants to be someone's pet.

Brewster and Chanago are only a few months off-the-track and are already enjoying their new careers as fox hunters.

Brew This is a three year old Thoroughbred off-the- track. He is already 17.1 hands tall and dead quiet - even at the opening fox hunt!
