About Bits & Bytes Farm

At Bits & Bytes Farm, we are in the business of promoting the Thoroughbred racehorse as a sport horse when his/her racing career is over. We do not make a living selling horses. We are matchmakers NOT horse traders!

Pear Lemonade is by Lemon Drop Kid.

We are concerned with the well being of the horses we place. When we sell a horse, we require that the new owners stay in touch and provide us with updates. We in return, are here to answer questions or to help place the horse if a new home is necessary. The Success Stories updates are posted on our OTTB Success Stories Web site: www.OTTBSuccessStories.com and on our Facebook page.

The sellers of our Thoroughbreds care about what happens to them after racing. They want to know that their horses are doing well and have not gone back to racing or been slaughtered. We have built good relationships at the race tracks we get horses from. The trainers and owners want us to sell their horses because they know they will have a great home and a new career which hopefully will save the horse from ending up at an auction. Thoroughbred breeders and trainers do care about their horses. We have been contacted by people in the horses’ past lives – exercise riders, trainers and breeders of horses we have sold have called to thank us for finding a home for a horse they knew or bred.

Our Mission and Success depends on the buyers’ understanding that we are doing this to save and promote Thoroughbreds.
