Honour Above Self aka “Honor Me” is a 2005, 16hh chestnut Thoroughbred gelding who has raced 75 times and won almost $140,000. This is a super cool gelding who deserves a trail riding and/or light showing life now. He has been campaigned hard his whole race career and is now looking to be spoiled rotten and enjoy the quiet life. “Honor Me’s” right front ankle is fused and left front does have an old osselet both which are set. They do not bother him. He is sound even with this “race jewelry”.
“Honor Me” is super gentle and quiet to handle on the ground and he is easy to ride on the track. He is older and classy to be around. He is a very nice mover who would be able to do lower level dressage and eventing. He is ready for his new home. If you’re looking for a horse who has seen it all, this is him. Now its his time to enjoy a life with love, care and a less demanding job.
If you are looking to help a Thoroughbred, but still want a horse that can be ridden and who is sound, this horse could be a match.
His pedigree includes the best Thoroughbred lines: Buckpasser, Two Punch, Caro, Deputy Minister, Tom Fool, Northern Dancer, Raise a Native, Mr. Prospector, Nasrullah, Nearctic, Mahmoud, Native Dancer and Danzig. SOLD!
March 24, 2015 – Congratulations to Tiffany White of Chesterville, Maine on the purchase of Honour Above Self aka “Honor Me”.

PLEASE READ THESE BEFORE CALLING: How Much Is This Horse and What is the Jockey Club Name?
Prices are not published because the price can go up or down depending on how the horse is racing. Most horses average $3500 but can be as low as $1000 or up to $5000. We will share the prices when you call. If the horse you call about is not in your budget, we may be able to recommend another horse that is.
Jockey Club names are not listed on the site as the sellers do not want calls from people who have not been screened by us for having the skills to help these horses into new careers. Most horses come with their Jockey Club papers and we will be happy to provide links to their race records and pedigrees.

Prices change based on what price the owner has set. We add a small markup for our services. Prices can go up or down based on how the horse is racing or how quickly the owner wants the horse sold. Most Prospect horses are priced under $5000 with the average being around $3500. Big sound geldings, grey horses and tall horses usually cost more — but not always. Small mares are your best bet if you are price sensitive.
