SOLD! “RF” is a 2009, 16.2 hh gray Thoroughbred gelding for sale as a Prospect Horse. He is so quiet that his owners decided to try him as a pony horse to lead other horses at the track. They sent him for 40 days of training with a Western pleasure trainer. He now knows how to neck rein and can be ridden English or Western. The plan was to take him back to the track and become a pony horse — but “RF” had other ideas. He does not like that job. He would rather to go to a show home instead.
“RF” is vice free, trailers well and is up-to-date on everything. He is a super, super soft mover and would make a really nice fancy show hunter. His movement for the under saddle classes will get you noticed by the judge. He is believed sound for a career in eventing, fox hunting, hunter/jumper or even Western pleasure. What kind of riding do YOU want to do? “RF” has the talent to do it all and he has a sweet personality to go along with it.
“RF” has been with the same owner/trainer since he was bought at the Thoroughbred sales as a youngster. “RF” is a very well bred horse and the grandson of Storm Cat. As a yearling he sold for $50,000! We have sold many Storm Cat grand babies and they are very athletic horses.
In his videos, on our Google+ page, he is trotting sound on a gravel driveway and he is barefoot!
This Thoroughbred gelding just needs to shed out and you will see how lovely he is. Those who cannot see past the winter coat and lack of fitness will lose out on a very fine mover and a kind talented horse. He could be an “A” show hunter prospect. He is a diamond in the rough.
See his videos on our Google+ page.
