Independence Day! After arriving from the race track, Sand Trapper enjoys
his independance rolling in the dressage arena.
Kristi Spivey of Dothan, Alabama, bought Sand Trapper from our Prospect
Horses for Sale page. She is an accomplished trainer and has the talent
and skill to teach Sand Trapper a new career. Look for them to be competing
in combined training events in the South.

Still being green, our dressage was in
the 40's, so you can pretty much count out placing with that.
But he does have the movement and trainability that we will be in
the 30's soon.
As for cross country, he is a machine and he loves
it. He is fine with water, ditches, drops and banks, and of course
time is never a factor!
In stadium we still have to work on
our steering, but he never touches a rail. He is just a joy to
ride. I couldn't ask for a better mover or jumper and he really wants
to please you.
Sand Trapper is very smart and loves me to death. If
I am out of his sight, he gets very upset. He is like a puppy dog.
I've never had a horse like that. But anyway, I thought you
might like the pictures and see how good he is doing.
Talk to you
soon,
Kristi

Kristi was extremely pleased with his
stadium jumping ability. She says his dressage still needs work
but who could image that Sand Trapper is just three months away from
his racing career when you look at these jumping photos!

Sand Trapper competes in his first combined training event at Beginner
Novice level! Kristy said he was wonderful cross-country with a
clean ride and no time faults. The dressage and stadium jumping need
some work but a great time was had by both horse and rider. Watch
for photos soon. They are aiming at doing an Intermediate level competition
in a few years.

Hi Elizabeth I just wanted to let you
know that Sand Trapper arrived today and I could not be happier.
I will call you with all of the details later, but I wanted you
to see how unhappy he is to be here. ha ha I will send more pics
later. This was his first trip into a dressage ring. He just
wanted to lay down. He is great and a sweetie. Thanks and I will
call you tomorrow.
