Finder's Reward aka "Brett" - SOLD!Finder's Reward (better known as "Brett") was one of our 25 Special horses. He is the 2002 foal of Finder's Girl (deceased) . He is the half brother of Finders Chance (Finder's Girl 2000 foal who is now at Bits & Bytes Farm) and My Gal Gussy aka "Darling" (Finder's Girl 2003 foal). So you see, we know the background of this beautiful chestnut boy. "Brett" lived in a pasture with his brothers until March this year when he was sent to be broke for riding/racing. After two months of being broke and doing trail riding, he was sent to the track to train to be a race horse. "Brett" showed no talent and it was decided that it was not worth the cost to register him. It costs thousands of dollars to register a Thoroughbred if they are not registered by their third birthday. You can see photos of him when he was listed as a Prospect Horse for Sale by clicking here. "Brett" is a very well built horse and he is very kind and comfortable to ride. He is a quick learner. Updates from Brett's "Friend" Kimberly: August 28, 2006Today I had my weekly dressage lesson. I chose to ride Brett again since he was awesome last week. He remembered everything. After about 10 minutes warm-up, he was bending and accepting bit contact. He still needs to work on getting his head into a dressage frame and be on the bit, but what can I say .. he's learning. He just impresses me with every ride, he is never upset by anything, and he always works to please. August 27, 2006Brett was once again awesome! I walked him over the trot poles just to see what he thought of those, and he didn't bat an eye. Since he was doing so good, I trotted him through them and he had a BLAST! He was so proud of himself and he didn't touch a single pole. He is going to make a great sport horse. August 22, 2006Brett is amazing! I recently took a dressage lesson on him and he started off not understanding what I wanted. But I must say, he is a fast learner and after about 10 minutes he was bending off my leg and accepting bit contact. I had him on the bit for the entire lesson after that. I can't wait to teach him to jump cross rails!
Until the next ride,
