Lord Sexton Update:

Lord Sexton went to his first fox hunt this weekend, just three weeks off the track. We hunted Saturday AND Sundayat the joint meet of the Shakerag Hounds and the Shamrock Hounds in the Atlanta, GA area.

Lord Sexton was fantastic and well behaved. Saturday was at Berry College and we went through bogs and scrambled up a really steep bank and jumped a small log at the top of the bank. We galloped down roads through the woods ducking tree branches. One person in front of me pulled a dead branch (about 6 feet long) down out of the tree and it fell right in front of us. Lord Sexton never spooked and went around it with just some pressure from my leg. He jumped ditches filled with water both days and galloped down hill without getting strong. Lord Sexton did flying changes in the woods as we twisted and turned down the trails. He was always light in my hands. We even left the two horses tied to the trailer during the breakfast. Lord Sexton loads on the trailer himself. I put the lead rope over his neck and let him go. Sunday was at Shamrock Hounds' beautiful hunt country which consists of large fields, wooded trails and paved roads. Lord Sexton handled it all like he had been hunting many times before.
