Te Conquistar (no known as MacTavish)

MacTavish the Bits & Bytes Farm horse formally known as Te Conquistar has returned to board with us. YEAH! says Elizabeth. She loves to board the horses to make sure they get great care.

Welcome to Bits & Bytes Farm

Welcome to Bits & Bytes Farm on the Web. Take a virtual tour of the farm and see the beautiful thoroughbreds we have for sale. Follow their training and learn how we bring them from racetrack to a new career in the show ring, fox hunting or eventing.

An Update on Some Former (and current)
Bits & Bytes Farm Thoroughbreds

Big Money and Broadway Joe continue to rack up the ribbons. Both of them won ribbons at the BJC show last week in the jumper classes. Bits & Bytes Farm's Special Reserve horse, Joe Bear, along with Big Money won ribbons at the Oxer Farm combined tests in May.

Joe Bear and Paula at Oxer Farm

Joe Bear and Paula take second place at their first competition.

Joe Bear loves jumping as well as dressage. "Friend of Bits & Bytes Farm" Paula Gunnels' training paid off with second place at the Oxer Farm dressage/cross-country schooling show.

Joe Bear and Paula show off their second place ribbon from the Oxer Farm schooling show.

Big Money won second recently at a Ride a Test, Jump/Jump show at Wind Ridge Stables. This is most impressive because Big Money's mom and dad were both green riders when they purchased Big Money last year.

Big Money gets double duty showing in the jumper classes with dad Gertjan and the equitation and eventing shows with mom Marie.

Big Money took a fifth place ribbon at Oxer Farm's schooling show.

Darcy and Maire take fourth place

Our Boy Darcy got some show experience with Big Money's mom Marie at the Oxer Farm schooling show.

Marie showed both Big Money and Bits & Bytes Farm's Our Boy Darcy at the Oxer Farm schooling show.
Got Um Smoke Um and Amy
Amy and Smokey are really getting good at jumping. They are also jumping all the coops in the Belle Meade Hunt territory.

Got Um Smoke Um (Smokey) and Ikon are getting exposure to fox hounds and horse shows. Amy and Jeff are really enjoying their boys. Even Amy's sister and mom have taken up riding. They all hope to be hunting with Belle Meade Hunt this fall.

Ikon loves his dad Jeff.

Fame and Gloria
Fame continues his training with mom Gloria and they have begun jumping training.

Fame follows mom Gloria around like a big puppy dog.
Fame and mom Gloria

We are most proud of this couple as they were both beginners. Fame had just turned three and Gloria was still learning to canter. Now they are galloping the trails of the Biltmore Estate and learning to jump.

French Made
(now known as Fred E.) has been doing trail riding along with dressage and combined training clinics to get ready for his first competition at the end of this year. It is too hot in Florida for competitions in the summer.

Fred E. (French Made) and mom Stephanie at a x-country clinic.

His mom Stephanie writes, "Fred E. has the most incredible work ethic and he is absolutely one of the most appreciative and loving horses I have ever met. I am excited about our first show. Fred and I are members of FHTA (Florida Horse Trails Association). "

Welcome home to Te Conquistar (now known as MacTavish). No, Te Conqueistar has not be returned for a refund but rather to continue his training along with mom Leighton by boarding with us at Bits & Bytes Farm. They have been training with Imtiaz Anees and learning dressage and jumping. They want to join in on the "fun on Sundays" with Elizabeth and our trail rides.

Call or come by for a visit

Please call us to discuss which horse might be the best match for you based on riding skill, experience and equine personality. We do not send out videos because it is important to match the personality of the horse with the personality of the rider. We are matchmakers, not horse brokers. We have horses in a wide price range. Call us to discuss prices or to schedule an appointment. We'd love to have you come meet all of our horses--we know that it will be worth your time. Just bring peppermints!
