NEW SUCCESS STORIES!
Racing under the lights at Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky.
Becky
Nadine aka Grayboo's former owner/trainer.
Bullet Again seemed to already know how to be lunged. His trainer has done a wonderful job muscling him up with lots of slow jogging.
Bullet Again and Elizabeth take a walk in the woods for their first ride.
Trotting out Legacy's Star at Thistledown Race Track. We purchased him from one of our favorite trainers in Ohio for our good friends Michael and Lana Wuolukka of Hidden Paradise Farms in Macon, Georgia. They told us to find them a nice prospect horse and Legacy's Star was the one we choose.
Straw Boy loves to jump!

Welcome to Bits & Bytes Farm on the Web. Take a virtual tour of the farm and see the beautiful thoroughbreds we have for sale. Follow their training and learn how we bring them from racetrack to a new career in the show ring, fox hunting or eventing. Christmas Shopping
Our first stop was Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky where we caught a few of the evening's races and met up with some of our contacts. They work at the track riding and training in the morning and at night ponying horses to post. They tell us this is the time of year to get horses and they are always watching for good prospects for us. Next on our shipping list was a stop at Thistledown Race Track in Cleveland, Ohio. We had great success there, finally getting a horse that had been identified over a year ago by our farrier. Bullet Again was greatly sought after last year but his trainer decided to continue racing him this year. He had two big wins and the trainer finally let us have Bullet Again. What a present he is!
Bullet Again is a gorgeous bay gelding who stands about 16.1 hands. He is in fantastic condition and looks more like a fancy show horse than a lean mean racing machine. Bullet Again already has two suitors and the "Friends of Bits & Bytes Farm" think he will not be here long.
We actually purchased him for a "Friend" who said to us, "Find me a horse." She was anxious to get on him so we rode him the day after he arrived to make sure he was safe. He was totally quiet and well behaved even when Elizabeth rode him to the woods. On his second ride he was jumping cross rails! Check out Bullet Again's new page of photos.
The third horse we found is a gorgeous well-built chestnut that already has dressage and jumping training. He only raced three times and he is six years old. He has been off-the-track for a year in training with an experienced event trainer. See Straw Boy's photo page one. More to come. This boy is great!
We finished our shopping and loaded our trailer with another beautiful chestnut horse for our good friend Lauren. Lauren is the one who alerted us to the need to help CANTER New England find homes for 112 horses at the Northhampton Fairgrounds in September which is also how we met Lana and Michael. Small world. Lauren found herself a very nice event prospect and we were happy to bring him home to Georgia for her. Ho, Ho, Ho HORSES all the way! Happy Holidays from Bits & Bytes Farm. Give us a call if you would like to put a beautiful Thoroughbred under your Christmas tree this year. Call or come by for a visitPlease call us to discuss which horse might be the best match for you based on riding skill, experience and equine personality. We do not send out videos because it is important to match the personality of the horse with the personality of the rider. We are matchmakers, not horse brokers. We have horses in a wide price range. Call us to discuss prices or to schedule an appointment. We'd love to have you come meet all of our horses--we know that it will be worth your time. Just bring peppermints!
