Training Notes on Bounced:

Trot work:

Moving forward from the leg

Moving away from the leg into the hand ( inside leg to outside hand)

Balancing on to the hind end and strengthening hind end

Letting go of his shoulders and taking longer, flatter,bigger steps traveling forward and straight (very important for hack winner in the hunters....he is well on his way!)

Focusing on trot for strengthening and balance

Bounced is very light in the mouth when ridden from the leg

Canter work:

Working on transitions

Balancing in corners

Bounced is learning his changes

Jumping:

Bounced is trotting and cantering x-rails and oxers up to two feet

He is very willing

We are working on pace and rhythm more than height!

Lead Changes:

Bounced is a natural, he just needs to be taught!

Notes:
Bounced is a 16.1 hh, dark bay gelding who will be turning five in April 2008. He should mature to about 16.1 or 16.2 hands tall. He is quiet,sweet and ELEGANT! This beautiful boy just had no desire to run. He is sound enough for any career - he will do any thing you want. "Bounce" has no vices or problems. He is sound, clean legged and has a nice head carriage when he works. He looks like a stakes winner but he has no competitive drive. He can gallop two miles and not come back blowing. He floats when he gallops. He is a gorgeous mover. Bounced is sound, well mannered, very laid back and not nervous He is very elegant. He should excel in any discipline. Bounced is a grandson of Unbridled (who won almost $5 million dollars) and a great grandson of Fappiano, Alydar and In Reality. He has a great pedigree for racing but he wants to do something less competitive as he is too laid back for racing. Click here to see his pedigree.
