Runnin JoyAugust 25, 2008Hi Elizabeth How are you doing? Things here are well, Joy is doing so well doing lessons for a friend of mine and being so perfect in every way! A truly wonderful girl she has turned out to be! I would still love to sale her at some point but things have settled and Im ok keeping her for now. I kept up with the olympics through your web site! It was so fun to watch the show jumping team win the gold. I saw Lending on your site and held myself back from calling you at 9:30 at night to see if he was still available. So? If he is I know you don't give out prices on the internet but I'm very interested to know how much and where he is. I'm looking for another jumper prospect. Thanks Elizabeth! I will have to send you more pics and video of Joy She is doing great! I will give you a call if Lending is still available! Kindly June 26, 2008 - NEW VIDEO!Hi Elizabeth I have pics of her and I at the beach, she went right into the water and would have gone farther if I had let her. She loves, loves the trails and trailers every where great of course! Her video is up on YouTube and she continue to look like the dressage will be her thing, though Im not a dressage ridder she sure is capable for it! I need to find her a good home and I am open to any offers. She will be great with most anyone now as long as they are kind and tender to her they will have the truest mare ever! I know you have many people trying to find homes for their horses as times are tough right now but if you can think of anyone please send them her way! Thank you so much Elizabeth
, I do hope all is well for your family of horses!
Warmly Elizabeth's Note: Runnin Joy is a gorgeous mare. We had lots of interest when she was a Prospect Horse For Sale. If you live on the West Coast and want a trained Bits & Bytes Farm horse - hurry! The price is right for the right match.
April 6, 2008Hi Elizabeth I was hoping you might be able to help me find her a person that is a horseman and will take all of my hard work and build on it. This mare is so fantastic and works with you as long as she knows she can trust you. Anyhow, could you help me? I've put her up on equine.com but will not sell her to just anyone and I would take all the time I needed if I did not have another sale horse that was sold and ended up getting a soft tissue injury the day before his vetting in turnout! Life is crazy. Anyhow, if you know the person that would be great for he. Price can be discussed when someone is interested. Anyhow, let me know any thoughts or any ideas I would greatly appreciate it. Warmly March 18, 2007Hi Elizabeth,
Joy came to me with a major insecurity problem. She had to have has an accident on the track as anytime a horse came at her she would rear and spin so fast. Terrified to have horses in her space! She did not breath, every muscle in her body was clenched all of the time. One day I clipped her whiskers and she would not eat or drink for two days! Not very adaptable to say the least. Her trot was awful! She literally racked like a racking pony! After two months of trying to work through it I decided that she needed time to hang. So I gave her a couple of months to do just that. You never know when these guys will turn the corner and pushing it to meet your time frame never works for the better so I needed to just watch and listen to her. After a bit I decided to put my western saddle on her and go for a ride. I made sure she could have her mouth wide open at all times as it seemed to be a security for her, I allowed her to be race horse crooked, and we just went around like a pony ride. Every day I would slightly ad something new to the equation to see how willing she has become to learn her new job. She continued to move forward and started to work for me. We walked with many horses and continue to and she is comfortable with them coming at her now. She does not rear or dart anymore as she will just do the occasional spit the legs and then move on bit. And we are in our hunter jumper gear again and walking and trotting poles and flowers.
She is for sale now as she is ready for an experienced horse person to take her and move along with her training. She will not go anywhere until I find that person. It was another wonderful learning experience from another wonderful horse. Stressful at times but she has given me her trust now and is very affectionate towards me. She knows. Anyhow thank you for giving Joy a place to go to really become comfortable in her skin! She is an amazing mare with sooo much talent and such a sweet temperament! I look forward to doing more horses with you. Kindly, September 18, 2007Hi Elizabeth, September 17, 2007Hi there!! Runnin Joy was a Prospect Horse For Sale in July 2007 when she was purchased by Carrie Macaskill of Imperial Beach, California. |
