February 27, 2007Halliea Milner is a two time Prospect Horse For Sale buyer. She also owns Tater who we called "Pretty".Just an update - I got to watch him move when I first let him loose this morning. Even though he is footsore from not being shod, he is still a gorgeous mover! I can't wait to see what shoes and muscles will do to develop his gaits. He was literally all four feet off the ground floating every stride. Piaffe or Passage anyone? : ) He seems to be eating, although he is a little picky as of yet. I was surprised that he wasn't more vocal or pushier about eating after our conversations, but I assume that he will come out of his shell once he settles in. He didn't know what to do with a cookie, lol. It surprised my working student that he didn't know what to do with it. But, then again, Tater was the exact same way when she came here. Now she polishes off each meal with relish and begs for treats. She is currently on restriction from hand fed treats due to her incessant begging! : ) Every person that has seen him has told me that if I needed any help with him, they would LOVE to help. . . to which I am like YEAH RIGHT! Really, though - everyone has oohed and ahhed over him. They are amazed at how well put together he is and how substantial his bone is. I should've told them that we know how to pick 'em, huh Elizabeth?
I will update you with more as the time comes. For the next couple of weeks he will be getting used to our routine, receiving a ground manners reminder, getting shod, and seeing the vet for a check up (shots, teeth, and of course, the chiropractor!) Then I will see where he is. I'm sure I'll talk to you soon - I am taking Tater to a show this weekend, so I am sure that I will have ribbons to talk about next week! : ) Thanks for your help - You and Becky are amazing and have such an eye. Two times now! Everyone should really listen to her opinion- or else they may miss out!
