Our horses > horses for sale > prospects > photos - "Lightblub""Lightbulb""Lightbulb" is a nine year-old, almost 17 hand, bay gelding. He is a classic racer. He has won over $300,000 as a stakes racer. This is no low-end claimer! He is a grandson of the great Nijinsky and he has strong Nearctic and Native Dancer lines. Also in his pedigree: Icecapade, Sir Ivor, Northern Dancer, Royal Charger, Rough`n Tumble and Sir Gaylord. "Lightbulb" is easy to ride and a nice mover. He can trot as fast as some horses gallop! He does not paddle nor does he bite or kick. "Lightbulb" is quiet and has been the barn pet. The kids all like him and feed him fruit. As with most race horses, he loads and clips just fine. He is getting older and he shows no desire to run any more. Elizabeth met him in person and he reminds her of Knight Villian. They both have the "Look of eagles" that you find in a classey well bred winning race horse. Due to his age we would recommend a light jumping or dressage career. He would even make a great pleasure horse for a family who has the experience to retrain him as a sport horse.
